MERCI holds 2 major fundraiser's a year. Our primary fundraiser is Trees of Enchantment, a champagne brunch which is held every year in December. Trees of Enchantment is a wonderful opportunity for MERCI to raise essential funding as well as to celebrate the magic of the holiday season with our supporters. Guests are able to buy raffle tickets for a chance to take home one of the 20-25 Trees of Enchantment. Each tree is decorated according to a particular theme with corresponding gifts. This year will be our 18th Trees of Enchantment, which will be held on Sunday, December 2nd at the San Gabriel Hilton.

Our other major fundraiser is held during the 4th of July holiday, at which time MERCI opens a fireworks booth in Monterey Park. We have done this for almost 50 years now and it is a major source of revenue for us.

Below are additional ways in which you can help MERCI:

• Every third Thursday of the month, enjoy dinner at a restaurant of our choosing. Be sure to tell your host that you are there for MERCI and we are given a share of the profit!
• If you have a Target card, designate MERCI using our ID 3857. When you make purchases, a portion is donated to us. To join, call (800)316-6142 or login to www.target.com and go to the community give page.
• Bring us all of your tchochtkes, bric-a-brac, knickknacks and any other items you no longer need! We, in turn, give these items to the Starr Bleu thrift store to sell on our behalf.
• You can always designate your donations to the United Way to go to MERCI.
• If you have used toner and ink cartridges, bring them to MERCI and we will recycle them for a profit.
• Register with www.igive.com and shop their extensive collection of businesses. A portion of your purchase goes to MERCI. The website will also inform you what percentage of your purchase will be donated!
• Cash donations are always accepted and are tax deductible.
• Go to www.goodsearch.com and download their toolbar for your browser. Good Search is a search engine powered by Yahoo. Select MERCI from the drop down box each time you search and we receive a penny for every search performed! This service comes at no cost to us or you!
